Reading and Comprehension Tutoring

ONE-ON-ONE VIRTUAL READING INTERVENTION TUTORING FOR STUDENTS GRADE 1 THROUGH 12

Many creative and intelligent students face challenges in reading because of any number of different factors. Up to 20 percent of students do not learn or master reading skills based on the instruction they receive in school. Our goal is to provide your child with the explicit instruction they need to read more accurately with improved comprehension.

All students require specific instruction in some or all aspects of the reading process. Instruction offered by our Orton Gillingham and Wilson practitioners ensures that your child learns the skills they need to become more accurate and fluent readers with, of course, good comprehension. For other students who have mastered decoding skills our focus is on reading comprehension - understanding ambiguity, making inferences, annotating, etc, We do not use a one size fits all approach; we individualize our reading instruction based on your child’s needs.

ONE-ON-ONE VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON WRITTEN EXPRESSION TUTORING FOR STUDENTS GRADE 1 THROUGH COLLEGE

Written expression is the ability to understand and master the process of committing thoughts to paper in an organized and fluid fashion using the proper tools and strategies. It is a process that involves understanding assignments, gathering information, pre-planning, organizing, writing, revising, and editing.

We offer Math and Science Tutoring for all students, including the gifted and twice exceptional, as well as for those who have math challenges such as dyscalculia.

Science and Mathematics can seem very intimidating for many students, however; when broken down into digestible pieces, they can be quite entertaining and fun! The sciences are a series of systems, and math requires problem solving and the two go hand in hand. Hence, Frankenberger Associates uses an integrated approach for establishing a true understanding of the subjects.

In a traditional classroom setting math and science can be presented in a way that seems abstract and unrelatable. We break information down into manageable concepts and we tailor examples to real world applications that are relevant and interesting to your student.
