Social Learning and Executive Function Coach

Alexandra Lawrence, MAT, MSW, is a Social Learning Coach at Frankenberger Associates Learning Solutions Center. She has more than ten years of experience as a special education teacher, high school counselor, and executive functioning coach. Alexandra received her Bachelor’s Degree from NYU, and then joined Teach For America as a special education teacher, where she specialized in academic and executive functioning interventions for students with ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and learning disabilities. She furthered her education, earning a Master of Arts in Teaching Degree with a focus on  exceptional education from Relay Graduate School of Education.

During her time as a classroom teacher, Alexandra realized that her true passion was building relationships with students, highlighting their strengths and providing social-emotional interventions to help them reach their greatest potential. As a result, she pursued and earned an MSW in School Counseling from Washington University in St. Louis. After graduating, Alexandra founded the school counseling program at a high school in Nashville, TN. During the past seven years, she has provided counseling and social-emotional interventions to almost a thousand students. Alexandra is a tireless and empathetic advocate for every one of her students, and most importantly, she teaches them how to advocate for themselves. She recognizes that great communication with students and their families is key to long-term success.

In her personal life, Alexandra is an avid soccer fan and loves to watch Liverpool games with her husband and baby girl! She also loves to cook, make people laugh, and spend time outside.

working with Alexandra

“Truthfully, we are so impressed with everything Allie and my son were able to accomplish. It was clear to me very early on that she understood him as a learner and thinker. Allie’s approach made him feel both safe and confident so that he could put in the hard work. He is happier at school pick up, getting invited to more things and seems generally more at ease.”
